How this board opens
This one opens itself. One sweep of the overlap rule — every row read against its clue lengths, then every column — is worth 332 of the 400 cells, 83% of the board, before you have deduced anything of your own. The most generous opening is column 19, which gives up 20 cells on its own. 6 of the 40 lines are decided outright by their clues, with no room to slide. From there the board finishes on row-and-column logic alone — there is no point where you have to try a cell both ways and see which one breaks. The finished picture fills 192 cells, and one run in the clues is 20 long — near enough the full span of a line that it fixes itself the moment you reach it.
