Vial Bottle Nonogram (10×15)

This is the Vial Bottle nonogram — a 10×15 picture logic puzzle. Use the number clues beside each row and column to work out which squares are filled, and the picture appears as you go. Every square can be deduced; you never have to guess.

How this board opens

A first sweep of the overlap rule down the rows and across the columns settles 38 of the 150 cells, about 25%, which is enough of a skeleton to work outwards from. The most generous opening is column 5, which gives up 11 cells on its own. From there the board finishes on row-and-column logic alone — there is no point where you have to try a cell both ways and see which one breaks. The finished picture fills 60 cells, and the longest unbroken run anywhere in the clues is 8.

About this category

Symbols, vials, and half-finished experiments — the alchemy set leans into the visual clutter of a wizard's workbench, which turns out to be a good fit for nonograms: lots of small internal detail means real clue interplay between rows and columns, not just one big blocky silhouette. Most of the set sits at 15×15, the size where cross-referencing actually starts to matter, with a couple of full 20×20 boards for anyone who wants a longer sit-down solve and a few 10×10s at the gentler end.
