Male Gender Nonogram (10×10)

This is the Male Gender nonogram — a 10×10 picture logic puzzle. Use the number clues beside each row and column to work out which squares are filled, and the picture appears as you go. Every square can be deduced; you never have to guess.

How this board opens

The overlap rule is stingy here: one sweep of it across every row and column yields 19 of the 100 cells, 19%, so most of this board has to be argued for rather than read off. The most generous opening is row 6, which gives up 4 cells on its own. From there the board finishes on row-and-column logic alone — there is no point where you have to try a cell both ways and see which one breaks. The finished picture fills 45 cells, and the longest unbroken run anywhere in the clues is 6.

About this category

Symbols, vials, and half-finished experiments — the alchemy set leans into the visual clutter of a wizard's workbench, which turns out to be a good fit for nonograms: lots of small internal detail means real clue interplay between rows and columns, not just one big blocky silhouette. Most of the set sits at 15×15, the size where cross-referencing actually starts to matter, with a couple of full 20×20 boards for anyone who wants a longer sit-down solve and a few 10×10s at the gentler end.
